20 Years After Man Sent to Mars?
Private enterprise field space, SpaceX, said that if an astronaut to space flight may take 10 to 20 years.
"We're probably going to fly humans into space within the next three months, we will also fly humans to Mars. I think maybe 10 to 20 years ahead," said Elon Musk of SpaceX.
As quoted from Red Orbit, Monday (25/04/2011), SpaceX is a private company to the field of outer space which has won contracts amounting to USD75 million by NASA to replace the space shuttle program from the national space agency owned Amerikat States (U.S.)them.
SpaceX last year has completed the first test of an unmanned space capsule, having previously also managed to fly a plane into orbit and return to Earth.
"Our goal is to facilitate the transfer of people and cargo to another planet," said Musk.
NASA Space Shuttle Program is currently living leaves two more flights. Space shuttle Endeavour will carry out his last mission this week, while plane Atlantis also will perform his last flight in June.
NASA has started to use the services of private companies to fill the void that previously dominated by the government, by creating a new generation spacecraft.
"At the moment in which humans are capable of interstellar travel is an exciting future, and we try to make it happen," Musk added.
Earlier this month, SpaceX Falcon rocket Heavy show, which will make its inaugural flight in late 2012. The rocket was designed to lift satellites and spacecraft into orbit.
SpaceX is one of two companies contracted by NASA to move the cargo to the International Space Station, once the shuttle is retired theirs.
